Fae Mates Page 6
“Where did you hear that?” he snapped.
My gaze dropped to the tent in his leather apron, and triumph flared through my insides. A little bit more dirty talk, and the kinky bastard would give me what I wanted. I walked forward with a deliberate sway in my hips, hoping that the breeches would emphasize the effect.
“She told me it worked like a charm,” I murmured in a sultry voice. “But I don’t believe there’s such a thing as a cock ring that expands around a man’s girth and hugs it as tight as a mouth.”
The blacksmith’s eyes fluttered closed, and a slow breath wheezed out from his lips. “You’re a very dangerous female.”
I closed the distance between us, leaned across his messy desk, and slid a finger down his damp chest. “What can I say? I’m very demanding, and I won’t stop until a gentleman has come apart in my hands.”
“Stop that,” he whispered.
My finger circled his nipple. “Stop what?”
“Keep touching me like you mean it, and I’ll—” He doubled over, bracing his hands on his knees.
A jolt of surprise had me skittering back, but I forced myself to stand firm. In my best drawl, I said, “Are you cumming for me?”
“Yes, Mistress,” he said between gasping breaths.
I glanced at McVittie, who lowered his eyes, giving his head a little shake. If this blacksmith didn’t supply me with the equipment I needed to subdue Prince August, my cheesy wiles probably wouldn’t work on the dwarves. Somehow, I didn’t think McVittie’s budget stretched to phoenix-forged weapons.
Still panting as though he’d outrun a centaur, the blacksmith raised his head and smiled. “You’re a natural at this. How may I serve?”
“I need a silk-covered iron cock-ring, a gag, a collar with a pair of matching cuffs—”
“Wrists or ankles?” he asked.
“Both,” said McVittie.
The blacksmith bounced up and down on his feet, making me wonder if I was his first customer of the day. “Anything else?”
“Do you have anything to make him light as a feather?” I asked. “He’s big, and I don’t have the physical strength to throw him on the bed.”
The blacksmith bit his lip. “The lucky bastard. I have an enchanted harness I use for hauling scrap metal, but the adjustments will cost you.”
“We have beads,” said McVittie.
He raced around the desk, jogged past us, and tied up the flaps of his tent. “I’ll shut up shop. That will give us the rest of the morning for you to try your purchases out on me and then do me a special favor.”
We returned to the academy late in the afternoon, and I spent the evening training my wings with Pokeweed. McVittie glared at us from the mezzanine, disapproval radiating off his stiff posture. Perhaps after the events of the day before, the cat thought we needed a chaperone. Whatever.
The vision of Prince August’s tanned body with hair the color of gold fanning out from his head like a halo had consumed my every spare thought. And the memory of him working that juicy thick cock until it spurted jets of semen filled my night.
The next morning, McVittie and I left early to wait for Prince August. We lay amidst the tall reeds that surrounded the pool and gazed into the surface, which reflected the orange haze of the rising sun. My bag of purchases lay between us, ready for use.
“Someone ought to revoke that blacksmith’s license to trade,” whispered the cat. “What a ridiculous request.”
“It wasn’t so bad,” I replied.
He snorted. “Piffle. What kind of male derives enjoyment from a woman slapping his manhood?”
“Well, it’s better than what I first thought he said.” I wriggled around on the damp ground, trying to make myself comfortable.
“I would have drawn the line at you slurping anything of his,” he muttered.
“Someone’s coming.”
A figure dressed in white floated down, and I had to blink several times to work out that Prince August slept in an Ebenezer Scrooge nightshirt. But as soon as he pulled it off his glorious body, revealing a broad back and a squeezable ass, I forgot about his questionable nightwear and edged forward.
“What are you doing?” whispered McVittie.
I shoved aside a thick reed. “Getting a better look.”
“Stay where you are,” he snapped. “He’ll be at his weakest after he’s spent. You’ll have plenty of time to examine his naked body when we’re breaking his curse.”
My mouth watered at the thought of Prince August encased in chains and lying naked and helpless. Part of me would enjoy making him grovel, but the rest of me relished the good, hard reward he would give me when I freed him from the clutches of Lady Gala.
The Summer Prince spent ages soaking in the water. His powerful presence had scared away the birds and frogs, leaving only the wind rustling through the reeds to compete with the sounds of his splashing. At my vantage point, I could barely see anything worthwhile, but eventually, he floated to the surface.
A breath caught in the back of my throat. He was going to do it. Prince August was going to stroke that glorious, thick erection. I crept forward, my heart fluttering in time with my core.
“Not yet,” hissed McVittie.
His voice was like the splash of cold water I sorely needed. I gave the black cat a sharp nod and sank back into my hiding-place.
The next few minutes were torture. Torture because the wind stilled, silencing the rustle of the reeds, and each of Prince August’s panting breaths was like a shot of electricity into my clit. I lay flat on the ground, my teeth firmly wedged into my bottom lip, trying to keep still, trying to resist slipping my hand in my pantalettes to ease the ache between my legs.
I could picture it. That huge fist pumping up and down that impossibly large length with beads of precum spilling out of its bulbous tip. Prince August’s abdominal muscles would bunch with the effort of holding himself back from climaxing too quickly.
Who was on his mind while he pumped himself to a climax? Was it Lady Gala with her pale, austere beauty, Lady Aster, who had touched her semi-naked body in front of the entire academy? Or was it me? By now, he would have heard how I had satisfied his brothers.
I shook my head and blew out a long sigh. The poor bastard was under a curse. Right now, his mind was on the wretched ice queen who had him under her control.
“Ugh!” The low groan signifying his climax sent a surge of desire through my core, but McVittie’s harsh whisper to get ready brought me back to reality.
I reached into the cloth sack that the blacksmith had kindly provided for my purchases and pulled out the harness. It was fifty percent lasso and fifty percent straight jacket. Once it ensnared its victim, the thin iron threads woven into its silk fabric would weaken any faerie.
Prince August rose from the water, his wet, tanned muscles making him look like a sun god. I ducked with the harness poised for throwing, waiting for him to get into position and dry off.
“Now,” whispered McVittie.
The moment Prince August flung his arms to the skies, I struck, and the harness flew over his head and wrapped around his torso.
“Got you.” Rearing up from the reeds, I yanked hard on its lead and felled Prince August like a cut tree.
“What is the meaning of this?” he growled.
I sprinted forward, bag in hand, and knelt at his side.
His eyes widened. “You!”
I slapped the ball gag over his mouth, muffling his snarls. Its leather straps wrapped around his head. Hatred burned in his lime-green eyes, but I rolled him onto his front and reached for each item in turn: the collar, the wrist cuffs, and finally, the cuffs securing the ankles.
“Good work,” said McVittie as I turned the prince around.
“Sorry.” I stroked the side of Prince August’s face, which had turned the same shade of purple as his brother’s hair. “Don’t fight me, and I won’t hurt you.”
His eyes bulged, and his power surged, making my nerve endings
crackle.
“Oi!” I gripped his chin between my fingers. “Don’t fight me.”
Prince August reared back, aiming for a head butt.
“Get out the cock ring,” said McVittie.
The prince’s eyes widened, and he gave his head a vigorous shake.
“This is for your own good.” I reached into the bag and pulled out the silk-encased ring of metal.
Wriggling like a caught fish, Prince August flared his nostrils, but with the harness holding him in place and the cuffs stuck together, the bindings gave him no leverage to escape.
“Sorry,” I glanced down at his long, thick penis, which slumbered on his thigh, looking tanned and thick and utterly tantalizing. My fingers trembled as they lifted the heavy organ and slipped the ring around his bulbous cock-head.
With a low groan that went straight to my core, Prince August hardened under my touch. By the time I rolled the ring down to the base, it stood to attention, fully engorged and looking as purple and furious as his scowl.
I suppressed a low groan of my own and turned to McVittie. “How are we going to transport him to the academy with nobody seeing us?”
The cat’s blank look told me he hadn’t yet considered this part of his clever plan.
Chapter 7
Even though Prince August lay naked, trussed up, and with a ball gag in his mouth, he still managed to send me a look of disdain that set my teeth on edge.
The dignity of his posture as he lay within the reeds pissed me off. The snarky tilt of his head, combined with the narrowing of his lime-green eyes, said he thought we were idiots for not having thought of how to transport him across the campus undetected.
“Do you have an invisibility cloak?” asked McVittie.
I shuffled on my knees, blinking down at the cat, whose whiskers glowed yellow in the morning sun. My throat thickened. Three months ago, the answer would have been yes.
Flora had lent me her father’s cloak so I could meet Prince Bradwell, but I had left that cloak in the Spring Court when the guards had arrested me while I had slept in his arms.
“No,” I whispered. “Do you think we can disguise him as a bale of reeds?”
Prince August snorted.
I flicked the end of his purpling erection, making him yelp through his perfect nose.
“We’ll just have to drag him through the forest,” said McVittie.
Prince August’s eyes widened, and he shook his head.
“What about the brambles and broken twigs?” I stared down at his huge, engorged dick, which either trembled with fear or looked like it was about to spout jets of creamy cum. “I don’t want to spend the rest of the day rooting around his body for thorns and splinters.”
“Unless you want to sling him on your back,” said the cat.
Prince August rolled his eyes. Even though the harness made him feather-light, his large, broad body wouldn’t fit on my shoulders, and it would be hard to wrap my arms around him if I carried him from the front.
I reached down and gave the prince a reassuring pat high up on his thigh. “We’ll wrap your nightshirt around your jewels, so they don’t get hurt during the journey.”
Outrage flashed in his eyes, and he thrashed from side to side, a difficult feat considering the harness wrapped tighter around his arms and torso with every movement.
My brows drew together, and I shuffled out of the way of his flailing legs. “He wants to say something.”
“Help, probably,” McVittie muttered.
“Maybe it’s important.” I reached over him and loosened the ball gag.
He spat the ball out of his mouth and snarled, “You will not drag me through the forest like the spoils of a wild hunt.”
I folded my arms across my chest. “Do you have any bright ideas?”
“Surrender, and I will make your death painless.”
“If he’s got nothing to contribute, place that thing back on his mouth,” said McVittie in a bored monotone.”
As I reached for the gag dangling around his neck, Prince August cried out, “Wait!”
“What?” I snapped.
“There’s no need to resort to violence,” he said in a surprisingly restrained yet haughty voice, which I suspected he reserved for public speaking. “I’ve noticed you leering at my sword. If that’s what you want, you may pleasure it for five minutes. Ten, since I’m feeling generous.”
“He’s stalling,” hissed the cat. “If he doesn’t appear in his quarters, I expect the royal guards will come looking for him.”
“Alright,” Prince August snapped. “Remove that ridiculous ring from my sword, fashion a stretcher out of my nightshirt, and the woodier reed stems, and I won’t give you any trouble.”
“How about this?” I stood over him with my hands on my hips. Triumph warmed my insides, and I grinned at the sight of him groveling at my feet. “You won’t because we can pull the silk off the cock ring at any time.”
Prince August’s shoulders sagged, and he stared down at his erection, which bulged with veins so thick, they looked ready to burst. A thick bead of precum emerged from its slit and drizzled over its thick, purple head and down its shaft, only to be replaced by another. My mouth watered. If only we had the time. I would have taken him up on his offer of five minutes with that sweet dick.
It took me several moments to create a stretcher under Prince August’s instructions, and it turned out looking more like a throne with skis. As the harness made him weigh next to nothing, the structure held, and I looped its enchanted lead through the throne’s top bar and pulled him through the reeds.
“Aren’t you going to give me something to cover my dignity?” he griped.
“One second.” I placed the sack over his erection and raised the ball gag to his mouth, which tightened around his head. “Thanks for reminding me not to let you call out for help.”
Ignoring the disappointed groan wheezing from his nose, I pulled him through the field of tall reeds. McVittie trotted out in front, acting as a lookout for passersby. He swung his head from side to side, checking for the displacement of air that he said would signify an invisible royal guard.
The morning sun shone down on us, and the rustling of the reeds drowned out Prince August’s angry groans. I continued after the cat with my spirits soaring at succeeding in the first part of our plan. With the help of Pokeweed, we would work out how to break the curse and rescue the Summer Prince before saving his brothers.
As McVittie stepped out of the reed bed, he arched his back and hissed.
My feet stilled in the silty ground. “What’s wrong?”
“See that line of red maple trees?”
I poked my head out of the reeds to find a row of stout-trunked trees with long, loping breaches that curled and split to create a halo of scarlet foliage. They stood on the border of a forest that stretched out into the distance.
“There’s a flock of strange-looking birds up on one of those branches. Just in case they’re royal watchers, place the bag over his head so no one recognizes him.”
“Good thinking.” I ducked back into the reed bed, where Prince August glared at me through blue, hate-filled eyes that promised an eternity of torment if he ever got free.
I gave him an apologetic wince. “It will only be for a few minutes.”
My fingers trembled as I lifted the sack off his huge dick and placed it over his gorgeous, blond head. Not seeing his face lifted an ounce of guilt off my shoulders, and I tried to distract myself with the sight of his tanned pecs, which flexed and bunched with his tightening abs.
“Ogle later,” McVittie snapped.
“I was just checking on something.”
The cat snorted, and we continued out from the reeds across a small meadow that led to the woods. Several minutes beyond the maple trees stood a gnarled oak with knots in a configuration I recognized to be one of Pokeweed’s enchantments. My heart leaped, and I picked up my pace, sliding the throne of reeds over the forest path.
&n
bsp; Hoofbeats sounded in the distance, making my skin prickle with annoyance. I didn’t need any nosey centaurs asking what I was doing and who was underneath the sack. When word got out that Prince August hadn’t returned from his daily bath, I didn’t want anyone leading them to us.
“McVittie,” I whispered.
The cat paused. “What?”
“Do you have access to the tunnel of trees?”
“Yes,” he replied. “Why?”
“See if that oak is one of them.”
With a sharp nod, he bounded up to the huge tree, placed his paw on a low knot, which opened up into a doorway.
I pulled the throne into the dark opening and filled my nostrils with the earthy, nutty scent of sweet acorns. For several moments we walked in darkness to the sound of the reed stems sliding against the damp earth. An occasional shaft of light illuminated our way, and I glanced over my shoulder at Prince August, who sat rigid in his makeshift throne.
The faerie didn’t like me at the best of times, and I expected he would want to tear me apart with his magic if I ever set him free without first breaking the curse. I trudged onwards, my heart pumping with a mix of excitement and trepidation. If we didn’t free Prince August before the royal guards tracked him down, they would make me wish I was dead.
By the time I reached the arched doors of Pokeweed’s treehouse, the scent of sweet porridge, warm almond milk, and honey wafted down the hallway. My stomach growled, and I picked up my pace.
McVittie pushed the door open with his head to reveal Pokeweed walking toward the kitchen area, holding a basket. As soon as he saw what I’d dragged in, it slipped from his fingers, sending apples rolling over the moss floor.
“Who is this?” His gaze dropped to the purple erection, which had started to pulse with need.
“Prince August.” I glared down at McVittie and flashed my eyes in a silent prompt for him to explain. Hadn’t the wretched cat shared his plans with Pokeweed?
Pokeweed’s black eyes widened. “And you thought to bring him here?”
